Team back in the playoff hunt
Mel Kiper just chose the Saints as the team that can get back into the playoff picture next season with a good draft and reported that the Saints are looking to trade up for Sedrick Ellis and also cited the impact of the trade for Shockey. No breaking news, but the great Mel sees these moves as having a big impact.

Re: Team back in the playoff hunt
Well I do not see Ellis going #2 in the draft. The Saints can wait and trade at another position. You go up that high to ensure you get Dorsey ONLY.
Get Dorsey and Brees doesn't go down we are in the playoffs. "PLAYOFFS!?!?!?" |

Re: Team back in the playoff hunt
Indeed, I dont see us going to 2 and picking Ellis over Dorsey, but if we can not pull off the trade to 2, we could make a run at 5 or 7 if Ellis is available and make the pick. I would rather see Dorsey but certainly wouldnt fret if we wound up with Ellis.

Who is this Dorsey guy??? LOL.
I think the Saints are doing all the right things. The earliest you see a player going on your board you go to that team and talk trade. You got to make it happen just don't expect a player to fall. If it was Ellis or anyone else it wouldn't be at the #2 position it would be 4 or later. |

yeah. if we trade up to #2 its for Dorsey, otherwise we'll trade up to #5 for Ellis, imo.
