Re: Who will start at Center?
Nah..I think that Goodwin will start...chemistry on an offensive line is as important as the talent of the players on the line and goodwin has that past experience with his colleagues that Lehr does not...Lehr will be a great backup and Alleman may have the ability to play C...I think that Lehr will take some 10 quality snaps each game and will be a more than formidable fill in in case of injury

Re: Who will start at Center?
Agreed. But you also have to take into account the Center/QB exchange. It certainly seems simple but can not be taken for granted. A good hint will be who is snapping the ball to Brees more often in camp.

Re: Who will start at Center?
thats very true and its often overlooked....even i didnt consider that....from the past goodwin has had more snaps with brees....probly has a better idea of what brees wants out of the snap....has a better idea of where he steps when he takes the ball so they dont trip over each other....however....thats easy to fix...it takes only a few days of practice to have an idea of whats going on with the handoff...mistakes are inevitable tho...whether ur a vet or a rookie

Re: Who will start at Center?
i'm just glad we have competition at the position
i did prefer goodwin over faine but that doesn't mean he doesn't need to work on improving his play i'd like to see andy giving it a try as well |

Re: Who will start at Center?
Whomever ends up starting, Goodwin, Alleman, and Lehr are all versatile enough to provide quality snaps at either the C or G positions.
