this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; would you like to see us trade with philly and pick up lito and swap, then swap with the giants and pick up shockey? our first round pick could end up being mayo, connors, balmer, phillips, one of the corners ...

trade back twice in the first?
would you like to see us trade with philly and pick up lito and swap, then swap with the giants and pick up shockey? our first round pick could end up being mayo, connors, balmer, phillips, one of the corners or a running back like stewart if he falls that far. options would be endless and give us 2 pro bowl calliber players and probably a starter out of our fist round pick and still keep the rest of our draft intact. that is if we dont get dorsey which we want!

Re: trade back twice in the first?
not sure that they would give that up but at 31 would could trade up with our 2nd or 3rd to make sure we get a player we like like mayo. that mite be 3 great starters out of the fisrt round of this years draft.

Wow. Very interesting idea. I think if feasible that would be a good idea. I think you would cut Campbell at TE and one of the CBs.

Re: trade back twice in the first?
ya know something? i like that idea.....we'd end up with 2 starters and a rookie from the 10th pick. plus we wouldnt have to shell out big bucks to sign the 31st pick.

Re: trade back twice in the first?
As much as I hate the idea of trading down, trading down to get two proven players and still getting a 1st round rookie prospect would be worth it if we can not get Dorsey.

Re: trade back twice in the first?
its great in principal but i just dont see it happening....trades are complicated when they involve picks because if the giants are content at staying at 31 they wont even consider a trade to 19....we forget....moving up wont guarentee getting a better player
