Robert Meachem...Update
First of all, what's up to all you ol' schoolers out there, nice to see y'all still at it, man I miss the debates and the info you guys have, it's just nice to be back on the scene. Now for all you Kat's out there worrying about WR Robert Meachem, don't, he will make an impact this year. I was reading an article yesterday in the Times Picayune, written by Saints beat reporter and TP writer Mike Triplett on Saints GM Mickey Loomis. Loomis talked about a lot of things concerning the draft, but this is just the quote on our 2007 first round pick.
"Loomis spoke excitedly about the progress of last year's first round draft choice, receiver Robert Meachem, who didn't play a game in 2007 after being slowed by a knee injury in the summer and fall. "He's had what we would characterize to this point as a great offseason," Loomis said. "He's worked very hard and really never took any time off from the end of the season. He's worked with (veteran receiver) David Patten, who's a great role model for him. He's in great shape. He doesn't have any issues with his knee that he had a year ago. He's done a great job in the weight room and the offseason conditioning program to date, and he did a lot of work before he came to us in our offseason program, and he looks fantastic. "There's a determination you can hear in his voice and see in his eye about wanting to prove he was worthy of being a first round pick, so we feel real good about Robert Meachem right now." Mike Triplett is a Saint beat reporter and a staff writer for the Times Picayune |

Re: Robert Meachem...Update
I'm eager to see Meachem play this year. He's got a lot of great qualities needed for a receiver. Size, speed, good hands. I think that he and Colston will be a great 1-2 punch. With Reggie all over the field and Brees as the General, this offense will be great again. |

What up Black? I actually spoke to Meach and he said the knee feels great and he has been working with the guys everyday.
