I am still not sold on him in the top ten. Sorry I can not go here. The only reason he is up here is because of the weak draft in round one. In any other draft he is in the range of 15 to 25. Prototypical three-technique at the pro level do not go this high.

According to all sources, Ellis has been an absolutely dominant force in Senior Bowl practices -- a tool which many NFL coaches use to evaluate prospects. Ellis performed well on the bench press at the combine, completing 34 reps of 225 pounds; however he ran a slower than expected 5.24 forty yard dash. Ellis' stock may slide a few spots, but he will still be a top 10 draft pick.
I'm not buying the "in any other draft" stuff. Who knows that for a fact? The Saints have picked up a DT with great ability, size be damned.

I'm very satisfied with the first two rounds of the draft for the Saints. Addressing the defensive needs and no Shockey (so far)...
