Jim Donaldson, of The Providence Journal, reports New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said the Patriots begun discussing a possible trade with the New Orleans Saints Friday, April 25. The Saints ended up trading their first- and third-round draft choices to the Patriots so they could move up in the draft. The Patriots gave up their first- and fifth-round draft choices in the trade.
