Draft on ESPN
I watched the draft on ESPN today and I suffered.
Every time the Commissioner goes to the podium it needs to be broadcast in the first round. For example, Lions fans didn't get to see Goodell call out their draft pick when Goodell was at the podium. It was on the bottom of the screen during commercials. Also, there were people in the armed forces on the stage being recognized for something and I missed it due to the blathering from those five jive turkeys on the ESPN stage. Berman was especially awful but they all had poor communication between each other and the producers. Maybe it's due to the shortened length of time between picks, I don't know. I do know that it was a poor production. How was NFL Networks version? |

Re: Draft on ESPN
yeah espn came off as extremely arrogant and uncaring for certain teams.. which is disrespectful for all the fans and surely not right at all. they shouldn't of missed any of the selections live.. and they should of talked about each team's pick with the same amount of time.
i watched nfl network online bc i couldn't take that crap as well.. they were blabbering about other things half the time. |

Re: Draft on ESPN
I've been impressed with Mayock (on the NFL network version). Man, that guy was spot on! Didn't it seem like he called the right name, every time, just before the pick, during the entire first round? Did he even get a single one wrong?

Re: Draft on ESPN
ESPN is the worst. Anytime I can watch another sports channel(comcast, cox, fox, etc) I do.
When they do a story during SC they cant get enough footage to cover the spot. so the highlight repeats itself 3 and 4 times. Its just ridiculas. As far as the Draft ...THE MOST IMPORTANT part of the draft on TV... is the actual pick. that's what we as fans want to see. |

everyone in ProFootballTalk.com's live draft chat was also commenting on how awful ESPN has been. NFL Network is clearly superior.
