Tracy Porter was listed as a first-round prospect in some mocks, so the Saints got tremendous value at 40 at a position of need. More importantly, Porter actually fits the team's system. (Pick Grade: A)

The Saints needed all the defensive line help they could get going into the draft. They acquired two talented tackles. DeMario Pressley, projected to go in the third round, is a bargain in the fifth. (Pick Grade: A)

The Saints have established that they're one of the few teams in the NFL that actually know what they're doing. This is the biggest steal in the draft. Matt McGuire had Carl Nicks in the first. Porter: B..greta ball skills and will contribute early in nickel and dime sets.

Pressley: B-...not fully sold but I trust our scounts/front office/coaching staff.

Nicks: B...what a beast, youtube his name, with proper coaching he could be a great RT.

Kicker: F...could have picked him up in FA and drfted an OLB like Highsmith.
