Re: Better Draft or Better Offseason moves?
I am equally excited by both. all defensive
If MLB, DT and CB all improve this year I will be a little school girl. Giddy and skipping around the house If 2 out 3 improve I will be happy. If 1 out 3, well it is a step forward If none. lets talk about pick 10 next year. |

Re: Better Draft or Better Offseason moves?
I'm pretty happy with both sides as well. Picking up Vilma and Morgan could be huge IF they are both healthy. McCray and Gay should be beneficial to the defense, as well. Keeping the core of the offense intact by resigning Patten, Miller, Johnson, Stecker, Copper, and dare I say, Henderson, shows that the offense is pretty happy with what they have and are looking for continuity. As for the draft picks, I'm loving the Ellis and Porter picks. They, also, picked up three players with tremendous upside in Nicks, Arrington, and Pressley. These players filled needs and depth that should provide good competition in camp. I can honestly say that I'm happy the way this off-season has gone so far. It seems like the Saints got one right this time.

I'm excited all around. Both the free agents and the draft.

Re: Better Draft or Better Offseason moves?
I think the free agent moves actually helped the Saints with their draft. I really didn't see any major reaches by the Saints. If free agency would have been a disaster, the Saints would have been forced to make a few reaches for need players in the draft. I am glad to finally see the coaching staff make a full commitment to the defensive side of the ball.
