Article: Rams are not the same- it's Warner.
As players milled around midfield at Raymond James Stadium early Tuesday morning, moments after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers handed the St. Louis Rams their third loss to drop them to a surprising 0-3, several Rams players talked openly about what's wrong with the team.
Players love to gossip with each other, sometimes with brutal honesty. On this night, Rams receivers made it known to a few Tampa Bay players why they thought the St. Louis offense barely resembled the high-flying unit of the past three years: Kurt Warner, they said, isn't being Kurt Warner. Its more than just Kurt Warner. I think most of the problem is coaching. Why would Martz go for it on 4th down instead of kicking the field goal when he was down 3? When you have Marshall Faulk and he only averages 10 carries a game something is wrong. He is arguably the best player in the game and he doesnt get enough touches. Why? Because Martz wants to throw the ball run up the scores on teams. What goes around comes back around and its coming for the Rams. It couldnt happen to a nicer team. The greatest show on turf is now the third best show in Missouri on Sundays. I think the only thing that could make me happier than the Saints starting 3-0 would be the Rams being 0-3.

After reading the article I think we can all understand why the Rams aren\'t the same. It is a problem with the \"O\" line, Warner can\'t throw behind them and Faulk can\'t run behind them. I heard on ESPN the other night, the Rams have a worse line than the Bucs. We saw what our Defense did to them. I know I wouldn\'t want to be either Warner or Faulk. :casstet:

The O line should be even worse with Pace out with a torn calf muscle. Once again it couldnt happen to a nicer team

The rams demise my be a combination of groups. From what I have seen I did not think the O-line was playing that bad. Warner is however not the same QB. I don\'t know if it has to do with the receivers not running good routes, getting seperation or what but the INT\'s in monday nights game looked like he was not seeing the defense at all. Now was that the case or was he expecting the receivers to do something else? I don\'t see how a QB can go 3 years of reading defense and then all of a sudden not.
As for the pocket protection, I noticed several times where he looked to drop back too deep. The pocket was there but he was beyond the pocket and too far back to step up into it. I don\'t keep up with the lambs to know what coaching or personell changes they had this year but they just don\'t look to be in sync. Now the Saints are a team that is in synch ... and they are talking about wait until they peak later in the season. That is a scary thought! |

Well as with most of the other attempts by offensive coordinators to change the style of football with a certain style of offense . The defense has found away to defend it .
The old Duck and chuck was effective for awhile with Houston and Atlanta , but died . Soon to die , the fun and gun . Martz had his moment , he is now road kill . |
