From
Criminality. Divorced with kids. He transferred. Anything you would not want a guy to have, he has it all. Which I have problems understanding the word "Criminality". punk? To someone who doesn't know how to channel his "badassness" on the field and not abusing women, risking injuring families while DUI, or making it rain also sorts of ways... Now the rest of the story He flew to Nebraska a week before the team’s pro day and that Friday night attended a party at a friend’s house. He knew he would be drinking at the party and asked his friend if he could stay the night. The party grew so raucous that the police were called. When they arrived, Nicks was downstairs in the theater room and he and several other partygoers – including four football players -- were ticketed for being in a disorderly house. The police asked everyone who wasn’t a resident to disperse, but Nicks couldn’t drive. He eventually called a cab but the police arrested him for failing to disperse a disorderly house. He was taken to jail. He said the episode never grew violent or contentious. In fact, Nicks eventually got the charges dismissed and that his agent sent packets to all 32 teams documenting what occurred. “Initially it was frustrating because my stock has dropped because of it,” Nicks said. “But I can’t do anything about that now.” Been there done that As for the rest of that I refuse to rack him over the coals till the rest of the story comes out. |

Re: Carl Nicks
i like his side of the story...he is of age to drink so nothing was wrong about that...he cant control what others do...according to his story he has done nothing wrong...i have heard nothing but great things from his ability....while i didnt watch him during the season ive been able to watch a lot of film on him because he could be the steal of the draft....he has first round talent but dropped solely because of his arrest....i like his power and his footwork even tho some dont...i dont like that he doesnt finish plays and he doesnt seem very mean which is a "must" at the professional level...he can be taught that and at the pro level i look for him to start in a few years...he has the talent and size to do it....in my opinion he would be the steal if we hadnt drafted talor mehlhaff

Re: Carl Nicks
He was recently banned from his school's pro day after being arrested at a party at his friend's house. He was cited for being an inmate of a disorderly house and failing to disperse. Charges were later dismissed.
Saints take OT Carl Nicks in Round 5 - New Orleans Saints Beat - Times-Picayune NFL - NOLA.com So I guess that put and end to it. He is not a liar. Also were did this divorce stuff come from? Every were I read it says married with a three year old. As for his level of play remember this: 2003 enrolled at New Mexico State, appeared in 5 games as a reserve defensive tackle. 2004 spring camp about to make the move to offensive guard, but academic problems forced him to transfer to Hartnell Junior College the following season. 2005 California Community College Football Coaches Association first-team All-American honors and Region II first-team All-California 2006, enrolled at Nebraska where he served as a valuable "sixth man" on the offensive line 2007 first full year as a starter To me that says he has been getting by on talent more than coaching. If you look at it in a different light he flunked out of school, then had a kid and has been putting his life back together ever sense. He seems to be moving in the right direction. sure he hit a pot hole or two but who has not? Lets see what some coaching does for this kid. |
