Big Pimping on Sedrick Ellis

Forget the skill position players for a second because, aside from Peterson, they take a little time to make an impact. The guys who will be forces right away will be at nonglamorous positions, but they'll be in position to succeed. New Orleans defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis and Cincinnati linebacker Keith Rivers will be stars from the start. Part of that will be due to their own talent. But every first-round pick has plenty of talent. What will separate Ellis and Rivers will be the situations they landed in. The Saints and Bengals still have talented rosters after subpar 2007 campaigns. Both teams are poised to bounce back, especially after adding their prized rookies. Ellis will be an immediate force in the middle of a defense that couldn't stop the run last year. He'll clog the middle and allow linebackers Jonathan Vilma and Dan Morgan to cover lots of ground and make a bunch of tackles. |

I don't think it is unreasonable to think that playing with Vilma will make Simoneau better - especially if he is moved out to WLB, where he'll have more pass responsibility and fewer blockers to challenge.

Re: Big Pimping on Sedrick Ellis
ive revamped my madden roster lol to reflect the new team....it seems as tho vilma would be best at strong side and morgan would be better at middle leaving fujita as weak....i switched it around tho with vilma in middle and morgan at weak....ne way....i ended up making a sedrick ellis and he was a 99 overall...lol im not sure how to make him worse but im pretty confident in his ratings....hopefully he lives up to my madden dreams lol....ps: madden is the only way i can foresee the new defensive lineup including our new players...on the offensive side without faine....questions still remain

Re: Big Pimping on Sedrick Ellis
on another note...i dont want everyone to think i get my info from madden....the saints have aquired so many new projected defensive starters from different teams that i have not had time to evaluate their talents individually....basically i only watch the saints and browns so if they dont play then im not watchin football too much
