Every year, we see a host of young breakout players emerge in the NFL.
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Michael Boley, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, New York Giants halfback Brandon Jacobs and defensive end Justin Tuck, Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Jason Peters, Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, San Diego Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie, Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard had seasons in 2007 that made everyone in the football world take notice.
Here is my take on the 15 players that could emerge as breakout performers in the NFL in 2008.

1. Jay Cutler, quarterback, Denver Broncos

2. Vincent Jackson, wide receiver, San Diego Chargers

3. Mathias Kiwanuka, outside linebacker/defensive end, New York Giants

4. Greg Olsen, tight end, Chicago Bears

5. Jason Campbell, quarterback, Washington Redskins

6. LaMarr Woodley, outside linebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers

7. David Harris, inside linebacker, New York Jets

8. Anthony Spencer, outside linebacker, Dallas Cowboys

9. Aaron Ross, cornerback, New York Giants

10. Vernon Davis, tight end, San Francisco 49ers

11. Michael Griffin, free safety, Tennessee Titans

12. Owen Daniels, tight end, Houston Texans

13. Bobby McCray, defensive end, New Orleans Saints
Ever since his college playing days at Florida, McCray was considered a stock-market player and someone who could look great in one game and disappear in another. Landing in New Orleans and getting some tough-love coaching from new Saints defensive line coach Ed Orgeron might just be the right medicine for McCray to develop into a consistent pass rusher this season.

14. James Jones, wide receiver, Green Bay Packers

15. Davin Joseph, offensive guard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
