Backup Center?
Browns OL LeCharles Bentley's agent guaranteed Tuesday that his client will play football in 2008.
Before Bentley can begin practicing with the Browns, he must pass their physical. It's no guarantee that Bentley will make the Browns out of training camp, but he intends to play elsewhere if that's the case. Fantasy Football - news, projections, rankings, draft guide - Rotoworld.com If cut by the Browns...would LeCharles make a better backup than Lehr? He already restructured his contract with the Browns and will be a UFA after 2008. |

Re: Backup Center?
If LeCharles,
A: can keep his legs under him without injury B: does get cut by the Browns C: would re-sign with the Saints, I would say that he would be competing for a lot more than a back-up role. The Browns have probably grown weary of shelling out a lot of dough for a guy who hasn't seen the field in a couple of years. I hope they give up and the Saints can get him. I always thought he was a helluva center. |

Re: Backup Center?
Yeah if healthy he'll beat out Goodwin but the problem is he is steal healing. I'd rather him in camp getting a lot of reps before the start of the season, since that is unlikely I'd pass on him unless the sky falls on us.
Secondly he's got a bad taste in his mouth about the Saints if you recall. I don't think, he'll be rushing to NO of a jobby job. |
