Pat tells story about how player was late for a meeting and "the race was on," meaning a player started running from Eddie.

Sedrick Ellis: He's come here, he's ready to go, probably the strongest player I've coach, not as qquick as mike patterson but he's gonna be an exciting NFl player.

Bryan Young: Pat Kirwin said "Eddie, he's your kind of guy." Eddie said, "He's scrapppy, in the right plACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, he's the coach on the field, gives 110 percent.

Will Will Smith and Grant be in great shape? "Absolutely, with the weather and the way we practice."

Said Sed would be nose and Young would be 3-technique if they are on field together. Gives us guys that can move that are very similar to the guys utilized in Tampa's defensive scheme.

We will be very penetrating defense. We have to let DE's rush. When you can beat tackle inside and outside, there'll be schemes on our defense that will take advantage of that."

Demario Pressley: Quick, athletic, three-technique, little inconsistent in the senior year. Will be outstanding player in a couple years.

How do you work on player's toughness? Day by day thing.


Pleased with the defensive line. No pencil necks allowed in the room. Joked around about someone coming late during the senior bowl.

Cedric Ellis: States he had an outstanding rookie camp. Says he's the strongest players he's ever coached.

Said Brian Young is scrappy, all ways in the right place, useing him as a coach on the field probalby end up being a leader on the field.

Gaurenteed that Smith and Grant will be in shape for the start of the year.

Talking schemes said right now Sed Ellis will play Nose, setting up to play penetrating and attacking defensive line and describing what the hand & foot technique is and how it applies the DL philosphy.


Said he grew up a Saints fan, believes he wants to be part of a Saints teams that wins the super bowl.

Review on Pressly is quick, good 3 technique a little inconsistent but will groom him to be a good defensive tackle.


Lots of laughs and yuck with the sirus guys but they are giving him alot of respect.
