Sparring continues in Reggie Bush case
Sparring continues in Reggie Bush case - Los Angeles Times
Michael Michaels, who had partnered with plaintiff Lloyd Lake with hopes of representing the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, is set to be deposed June 2, according to Lake's attorney Brian Watkins. Lake is suing Bush for nearly $300,000, the amount of cash and gifts that he alleges he gave Bush and his family while Bush was playing college football for the Trojans. The NCAA also is investigating the situation. Under the terms of the 2007 settlement that was between $200,000 and $300,000, according to Yahoo Sports, Michaels reportedly agreed to a confidentiality clause. But Watkins said Michaels would not be bound by any agreements in his deposition and would be a cooperative and valuable witness. |
