Re: Previous 3-0 starts for the Saints
You must mean '98 they went 6-10. 1999 (the year of the infamous "Ricky" Draft) they finished 3-13 and "Da Coach" was shown the door.

Re: Previous 3-0 starts for the Saints
I think this is our BEST 3-0 start.
We have 30 more points (or 10 ppg) more than the best of our previous 3-0 starts. Also, we've only given up 15 more points than the Dome Patrol in 1991. The next two games are going to be really tough, but if we can win them (and we are at home), I think we're all witnessing the beginning of something VERY special for the Saints. |

The defense is actually what I am watching the most. What I am keeping in mind are the 2001? Raiders who were an offense scoring machine until they got slaughtered in the Super Bowl.

Re: Previous 3-0 starts for the Saints
History really means nothing.
If we go 7-6 the rest of the way, we will probably make the playoffs. 8-5, definitely. |

Re: Previous 3-0 starts for the Saints
My opinion that this is the best TEAM we have ever had. We are really good, and our health is the biggest part to our success. The nice thing is we seem to be able to plug people in and still be successful. Gees that sounds like those other teams, but now it is ours!!
If healthy I really think the Saints and Giants are the two best teams in the NFC. |
