PT and Bell this week vs Jets
So do ya'll think they will both play this week. I haven't heard any news on PT to see how he felt after the game. I know he's probably still not 100%, but I think we will have to establish a good running game again this week against a very good Jets D. I'm also taking into consideration that Drew Brees is not from Mars, so again that running game is o so important.

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
As I understand it, PT was out in the first half because of the flu, not the knee. So I'm penciling him in as 100%.
I'm betting Bell sits or is maybe an emergency option. Assuming PT is 100%, there's no need to rush him back from an MCL sprain. |

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
That's probably what they should do... take the PT approach and make sure he's knee is fine before they start consistently rotating him back in. With Hamilton looking pretty good out there, there's no need to rush him back.

Get Bell healthy for the Giants game.

The strategy is clear: play the healthiest player.

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
If I'm not mistaken, an MCL sprain is what kept PT out for 4 weeks. I don't look for MB to be active this week since has the same injury. Maybe he'll be ready for the giants game. It will be nice to have both available for the G-Men.

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
Im just excited we got four backs that can run well. PT and Bell is obvious, I think Bush is looking better and better an Hamilton wasn't bad at all in limited action. PT should be the choice this week, he looked really good and I think we will need to pound it again this week.

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
Bell should rest unless he's 100 percent healthy. Thomas, Hamilton, and Bush can get it done. Hopefully, Payton will use them FIRST and try to wear down the Jets pass rush instead of exposing the franchise to a talented and fresh group of blitzers. This weeks gameplan should be run first.

Do not expect to see Bell back this soon. I expect to see PT and really think Evans will see more carries in this game than we have previously seen. With PT still in a brace we need to use him wisely or lose him again.

Re: PT and Bell this week vs Jets
Bell was a beast while PT was out. PT looks to be back and along with Hamilton and Bush, we can and should wait for Bell to get healthy again. He brings value that will be important down the stretch and into the post season. There is no need to rush him back.
