Anyone else see Payton on the sideline....
...tell Reggie Bush, "Thank You!" when the Jets scored after his fumble? It's about time he put his 'big boy' pants on and either play real NFL football or go to the Canadian League. I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but, I have never felt comfortable with Bush on the team. I have a sinking feeling everytime they line him up in the backfield or as a punt returner. My wife usually gets to hear a new string of cuss words when it happens. Payton needs to use him as a decoy, wide-out or waterboy and leave the rest to the real professionals.

Re: Anyone else see Payton on the sideline....
How bout PT's fumble yesterday and a helmetless Drew Brees that had to dive in a recover the ball for us. No one mentions that. Everyone just wants to bash Bush because he's an easy target. No one looks at all the great runs and blitz pick up's he had yesterday. I'm not gonna flame you, just say that you and all of the Bush haters have your mind so made up on him, that you wont pour out any other criticism where it needs to be. I dont think we should bench Bush nor ever think about it. I guess he is our new punching bag since Jason David got cut.

Re: Anyone else see Payton on the sideline....
Hmmm..wanna compare stats this year?
Reggie:WK OPP RESULT Rushing Receiving Fumbles Att Yds Avg Lng TD Rec Yds Avg Lng TD FUM Lost 2 @ PHI W 48-22 10 33 3.3 19T 1 3 42 14.0 29 0 -- -- 3 @ BUF W 27-7 13 64 4.9 17 0 3 17 5.7 12 0 -- -- 4 NYJ W 24-10 6 37 6.2 12 0 3 7 2.3 4 0 1 1 P.T.=3 @ BUF W 27-7 14 126 9.0 34T 2 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 4 NYJ W 24-10 19 86 4.5 18 1 4 46 11.5 36 0 1 0 Anything leap out at ya? How about P.T.= 212 yards rushing, 3 TD's R.B.= 131 yards rushing, 1 TD And if P.T. starts to look like Reggie with his backward-ass running and sideways running, then I would be all over hime, but DOH! Doesn't happen. |

Wow, you two sound a little like Dierdorf and the Jets. Compare the stats. What if we didn't have a pounder for our running back? I think we all saw how that went. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, just don't expect some to drink the kool-aid.

Reggie is having a pretty tough year. He is running a little better the past couple of weeks, but all the fumbling is a major concern. I think he will bounce back and have a good season.

I think Toi Cook was it in the late 80's ... all the way up to Freddy Thomas--- We were "SB bound, if we'd just get rid of that damn Fred Thomas." ... Jason David. I've seen much, and I dont need to flame anyone. Too happy. and tired. and anyway, this board is for fun. Maybe Reggie isnt going to do anything anymore. Maybe he's still a bit hurt and isnt saying anything. I think we have the luxury with this team to play the lotto with him, and take a chance that he will bust loose, and then, watch out! He still looks like he's ready to erupt any moment to me, and I'm rooting for him. We've given up on guys in the past too early, who came back and punked us. Learn from the past, young grasshopper (gong goes "boooooozhhhhhhhh.") |
