What a difference a D COACH and Safties make!!! Just wanted to give mad props for the D coming together.

They are building that swagger - getting that confidence each week!

I noticed the jets were hesitant throwing deep taking those quick slants which I suspected were going to cause them great pain once our DBs starting to smell the routes coming and sure enough some good pops.

I can live without the Saints scoring 30+ points a game. I love seeing this defense on the field. As you stated, they have a lot of confidence and swagger. They swarm all over the place and make textbook tackles. As long as they keep this up, the offense should be able to do just enough (if not more) to win a lot more games this season.

Re: Defense

It makes no difference if we score 40 if the D give up 41. Give me a D that will punch someone in the mouth and I am all in.

That's exactly my point. This is definitely not the same defense we have seen from the Saints over the last several years. I don't say an 40+ games this year from the defense. Hell, I don't even see any 30+ games the way they are playing. This group has definitely given Saints' fans something to be excited about.

I have to say I think Harper looks better so far. Could it be that he feels more secure back there now when he don't have to try and make up for Bullocks or Kaesviharns mistakes?

Re: Defense

The offense played great in the first two games and the defense played great in the last two games. That is a great team.

I also believe he is learning some tips from Sharper.

Bingo. The secondary is solid at all spots, though. Not just at safety. Harper is able to do exactly what he is assigned to do, and he is doing it well.
