Bush vs Peterson
Peterson just ran out of bounds. Also, had a fumble that was returned for a TD. Is it time for the Vikings to cut ties with this guy? :p

Re: Bush vs Peterson
really? the comparison is not even close
AP is the best running back in the league and you are comparing him to a 3rd string running back you honestly think the circumstances are the same? come on man.....you are better than that |
Re: Bush vs Peterson
He's joking.
That said, it's over and done with. I hope Reggie took something from the game and shines on center stage versus the Giants. |

it's definitely evident that SP is getting rather tired of his nonsense. |
Re: Bush vs Peterson
AP also has the most Fumbles of any RB lol.
|
Re: Bush vs Peterson
How about a straight up swap ... we get AP, they get RB!

Re: Bush vs Peterson
Couple of surprising stats for y'all:
1. Bush leads the team in yards from scrimmage. 2. Peterson has fumbled the ball 15 times (9 lost) in 2.25 years. Not saying reggie is better than purple jesus, but just sayin' |

Again, I feel you. I just wanted to point out that AP does have one glaring weakness - those fumbles will kill any team and even if he had half that number, it would still be a concern - and Reggie's getting bashed for semi-good reason, but he's still producing at a high level. Just a lot of hate these days for "the most productive player on our team." He's in year 4 of a 6 year deal, IIRC. We're not going to cut him, and I really question his trade value - we ain't getting our money back. I realize he was the #2 overall pick and one of the greatest college RBs ever, I get that. But you have to let it go. He's not playing against the Pac 10 anymore. |

haha. i thought of you guys when i saw the stat of peterson having the most fumbles since 07 on MNF! bush: 25 td's, 16 fumbles peterson: 28 td's, 15 fumbles thats for anyone who's curious. of course, bush has an extra year. |
Re: Bush vs Peterson
Bush needs to get back that swagger he had his first two years. If he isn't a "between-the-tackles" (though he showed that potential vs. Philly), hell, neither is Brian Westbrook or Felix Jones (at least that's what the so-called experts say). At least he should be a little more creative and decisive when running with the ball. I say that the Saints have a more deeper backfield since Mayes, Hilliard, Heyward and Jordan. Are they better than the aforementioned Saints legends? The jury is still out on them.

Although he does scoot out of bounds before contact just as fast.;) |
Re: Bush vs Peterson
2006 saw a lot of -3 yard plays too. Reggie was expected to be the offense in 2006.
It's a different team in 2009. |

i know you're saying that bush could never do what barry did, but you also offered that up as evidence that running away from contact is ok whenever reggie leads the league in rushing then i will concede my argument but there are very few exceptions to the rules and reggie doesnt seem to be one of them reggie is barry-esque but he is not barry sanders avoiding contact isnt the best way to get yourself noticed unless you want to get ridiculed.....i would much rather have a running back battle for the extra yard than hop out of bounds |

IIRC, the 36 yard run by Pierre Thomas that went OB at the 1 was a thing of tackle-breakin beauty. Reggie scoots OB before the 20 yard line. |

I've seen PT reverse field before. He does it quite well. He also knows how to read blocks a lot better than Bush does. He also breaks tackles better, he receives well and his cut backs fantastic. Bell also has a sweet 1-cut and up move that Bush will probably never learn to do. I'd love to see some video of PT struggling to reverse field. |
