It is that Cajun conspiracy again .
Need to send the Panther organization , hooked on Cajunonics . Saw a report that said , fellow teammates could hardly understand his play calling due to his heavy cajun accent . |

Actually, they\'re saying he\'s been having trouble grasping the offense. Sorta odd since according to SOME people in here he was a much smarter QB than Brooks. No, 08, I don\'t think his accent had much to do with it.

Except for those that could not understand him ...
PFW reports : New Panthers QB Jake Delhomme, a Louisiana native, on how his accent was difficult for some of his teammates to understand at first: “In the spring I had to stand in the huddle and say, `OK, guys, hang with me, it’s just going to take me a little time to get it out.’ |

Yeah, I read that a few Months ago too...then I read THIS today:
\"Rodney Peete remains the starting quarterback because, at 37, he hasn\'t done anything to lose the job. Jake Delhomme, a backup in New Orleans, still hasn\'t grasped the offense, and Chris Weinke, a third-year-man at 31, remains an outsider\" By Dave Goldberg -- AP Sportswriter Now, you can blame it on the accent if it makes you feel better about all that crap ya\'ll were spewing, but anyone who\'s willing to see the big picture surely will. |

Right - b/c learning an NFL scheme should take less that three months right? Peete is playing b/c he\'s been in the system for how long? If you put Brooks in Carolina Peete may well be the starter right now.

Whodat, if you put Brooks in Carolina and made you a Panthers fan, you\'d be screaming for his head complaining that he wasn\'t smart enough to learn the offense. You Bias against him (and for Delhome) is transparent.
Read earlier posts here. Go back to the time Delhome signed with Carolina. You and others in here gave him the starting job and readily assumed he\'d beat the Saints this year...and THEN we\'d all be sorry for the Great Haz Conspriacy designed to rob Jake of a Starting job. Maybe now those of us that think there might be a REASON he\'s always been a backup are being proven right and you, along with others, are being exposed. You know I love ya Whodat, but go ahead and admit you jumped the gun. As I\'ve said many times before...it\'s ok to be wrong. |
