The Giants personal on D is a perfect fit to shut down the Saints aerial attack, heres why.
-We only need 7 in the box to stop the run.(I'm going to consider the Dallas
game an aberration)
-We do not need to use the blitz too pressure the QB
-We predominantly rely on just a 4 man rush to get the QB and yet we still
avg a sack every 17.8 snaps good for 2nd in the NFL.(Min 1st at 17.2)

Hey both teams are undefeated for a reason. Like we pointed out; this is the biggest test for our team. Home field helps, but execution is crucial.

Everyone is putting this one on our D, but I think it's the offense's time to shine after the bye week. We beat the Gints once in NJ, we can do it at home...

Well to be honest both the Redskins and Cowboys outplayed them. The Cowboys for sure should have won that game. So if we are looking at level of competition to determine "average" I guess the G-men win that title.

It would take a real dolt to say that this is not the biggest challenge so far for either team.

i HATE giants fans! i've always hated eagles and giants fans. they're so cocky and obnoxious. they think they can get to brees w/ just four!? the jets couldn't even get him w/ an all-out blitz! gimme a break! we have one the best offensive lines in the league, and we're not even at full-strength! and you can add to that that drew's got probably the best pocket awareness out of any qb in the league! they're morons.

they think we dont have a running game!? i cant wait for pierre and reggie to blow right by them and bell to run right through them!

Please don't take this wrong...but, when I looked at the schedule I figured this as a loss. However, that was before I saw our Defense play. Win or lose it's going to be quite a battle.

The Giants beat Washington, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, & Oakland.
Who's possibly average at best?
And don't forget the Cowboys put up 31 on em.
Saints will win by a comfortable double digit margin. WHO DAT!

This game is the first game we will face a starting caliber QB this season. So this is season defining in my opion. Win this game and the saints should have a new attitude. Can we win a smash mouth football game this year? If yes, then there is not to many teams that step up and beat us as long as we are taking one game at a time. If not, the cloud of 2007 and 2008 settles back in on this team.

I say the team comes out and slugs out a victory in this one finally.

Some of us who have to suffer in the northeast with all this G-men crapola don't see anything out of the ordinary here. They talk down the next opponent simply because it's not NEW YORK GIANTS YEAH BABY.

They've got a lot of injuries and a lot of inexperienced players playing key roles. Now, I'm not saying that these fill-ins aren't good, because they are, but they've been unusually productive because the last 3 teams the Gints played couldn't find their privates with both hands on them.

Every week is different, and every game plan depends of discipline and execution. Neither team is perfect. The winner will be the one that most often gets to the leverage spot on the field for each play. That entails making the opposition do the things it is worst at.

For the Saints, it must force the Giants to:

Move Eli left and backwards in passing situations.
Run to the edges.
have longer than 3rd and 3
Defend with corners and safeties rather than LBs
Defend Shockey man-man
Blitz.

For the Giants against the Saints:
Only allow the Saints to run inside.
Only allow the underneath pass routes.
Play gap repsonsibility for runs.
Don't overrun Brees in the pocket.
Force the RB (Bush, Bell, Thomas) to hold their blocks in the backfield to give fewer options in passing situations.
Run wide and force the depleted Saints line to tire.
Pass to TE's out of the heavy formation to get mismatches.
Bubble screens and cutback runs to counter Saints' defensive speed.
Overload left side of Saints line for obvious mismatches.

The Saints are adaptable this year and will do what it takes to win this game. I have been saying all along that we need some respect from the likes of teams and fans like these. Most of the fans here know Eli and the Giants and will give them that type of respect. After this Sunday we will see that from the other side. Some people are all Bravado and like trash talk. They can say what they want but the Giant's players and the coaches know without some luck and great play they could easily be limping back to NYC with some pain and regret.

This is not surprising to me. Some of the members are intelligent, and some are not. I love how we do not pass the smell test because of the teams we have won against: GINATS FANS, ARE YOU F'IN KIDDING ME!!!!!?

They are a very good team, and they have a very good defense. This is the toughest team we have played, and may play all year. No doubt. The Saints are the toughest team they have played so....

You know, I read this same crap from Eagles fans, to some extent Bills fans, and definitely Jets fans before our games with them. All of them thought that "their team" would be the one to stop us.

Just like my activation on the Giants board, I'm still waiting...
