As I recall, Haslett had sought advice from Jeff Fisher the Titans head coach about how he is able to get his teams to peak at the end of the season. This comes to mind because the Titans are famous for having slow starts and picking up steam after week 4-5. The Titans always come out looking like they are going to be the worse team in the league but they are always there at the end of the year.
I don't think it is possible for Fisher to have that much influence on HAZ after a conversation or two but I'll be darn it the saints don't look like they are going to start the season looking like a bottom feeder. Maybe this is why HAZ is so confused in his coaching. ???? |

FWtex-
Haslett has stated in the past that he doesn\'t like preseason and there is no doubt that he has made training camp easier on the players this year, In years past some players have complained about how tough camp was. Hopefully, Haz is treating preseason very lightly and is just wanting the players to stay healthy. I\'ve grateful to this point that we have stayed healty and I give the coaching staff some credit for that. Haz is a little on the sneeky side. It wouldn\'t surprize me to see the defense come out in the 3-4 defense against Seattle. Maybe that\'s what Charles Grant was talking about when he said \" We\'re gonna unleash the Beast\" in Seattle. |

The Saints have been pretty bad under Haslett in the preseason. And they do tend to surprise on opening day - but not this year my friend. Billy, listen to me, I HOPE I eat these words. From where I\'m sitting it looks to me like opening day will be something like 38-24 Seahawks.

FWtex, you\'re already making excuses for the game at Seattle. Just wait for it.
I think the Saints match up well against the Seahawks. So far I\'m still predicting a W. |

We\'re going to kick the crap out of the Seahawks, but I don\'t lend too much credence to player\'s smack talk. Wasn\'t it Grant that had a fiery pregame speech before the Eagles preseason and the team came out and stood around watch the Eagles?

clone, you havn\'t picked up on my NO EXCUSES attitude for the saints. I just think HAZ is a confused coach who is using parts of several other coaches philosophies and none of his own. This spells trouble for the saints.
If the saints win the SEA game it will be by striclty because we have so much more raw talent then they do. |

No we don\'t. Seattle is going to be a good team. Alexander is as talented as Deuce and Hassleback is a good efficient quarterback. Their receivers are unknown but talented and their defense is better than ours. We may have more raw talent, but not by a very wide margin. I promise that team is better coached and more developed. I W is going to be tough out there.
