Reason I ask is, it doesn't seem like something he would like. I think
Tuna would like the power running aspect of it, but not the
"unconventional" aspect.

Good luck! No injuries or bad officiating!
Of course I don't really know the true answer but my understanding is Parcells is strictly a personal guy, Sparano and his staff do all game planning and play calling. We have a nickname for Parcells, Ireland and Sparano down here, "The Trifecta"

Like you mentioned in your comment, the wildcat is really just a power running play. The bonus is you get an extra blocker and some misdirection at the same time. Generally if you run a power run up the middle the 'D' can just meet the runner at the point but with the misdirection with Ricky sweeping across you can't fully commit all your momentum to the point or Ricky will get the edge on you. With Ronnie's power and quickness to the hole it's already to late by the time the 'D' knows and if he catches a defender standing up instead of coming forward it's over.

We also have a very nasty O-line that gets a big push along with a lead blocking FB (Lou Polite that reminds me of Lorenzo Neil) he punches gapping holes with bone jarring blocks.

The reason we can run the wildcat better then anybody is pretty simple really, Ronnie Brown. He may be the most versatile player in the entire league.

Here I'll put it like this, A lot of teams fans could say well why don't we throw the ball all over for like 400yards and 3-4 TD's a game like the Saints? Well because they don't have Drew Brees just like other teams that try to run the wildcat don't have Ronnie Brown.

Good luck and I'm hoping for no injury's.

I'm not surprised that Tuna kept his thoughts from the press and fans. He never did like talking to them. Fortunately or unfortunately, our coach seems to be emmulating him.

After listening to some of our previous coaches talk to the media I am very happy with Paytons approach to the press.
