Who would you want to see them beat in the postseason?



My perfect postseason would be:

1) Domefield advantage throughout the playoffs
2) Divisional playoff win against the Chicago Bears (we owe them)
3) NFC Championship win over the Minnesota Vikings (owe them for 2 playoffs losses, too)
4) Super Bowl XLIV - Win over the Denver Broncos (tired of losing to Kyle Orton)

I generally don't speculate beyond next week but OK I'll play. A Saints/Colts Superbowl would provide some nice sidebars. A Saints/NE Super Bowl would also be a treat.

But I think at this point in the season, the real question is, once we win the Super Bowl, will all the attention and distractions overwhelm us causing us to free fall as so many teams in the past, or do the Saints stay focused and position themselves for a second Super Bowl run. :rolleyes:

I am not worried, but I do believe in such a thing as sanity. Coach Payton even said, that it is too soon, to be talking about a superbowl. With everything he has achieved so far, I think I will respect the coaches opinion, and just concentrate on Miami. The team, not the city. :)

Here is reality. The Saints are real and will definitely win their division and will be the #1 seed in the playoffs. This team is really, really good.

What happens in the playoffs is another story...I just wish they would act now like they've been there before...but after this year I'm predicting they will be able to do that.

So far this season, the Saints have stumped on 3 media darlings: the Jets, the Giants, the Eagles. Next week they get another media darling in the Dolphins and their wildcat, then another media darling in Matty Gay, then another media darling in Brady and the Pats. Only media darlings left are the Minnesota Farves, the Bears, and the Colts. I really don't count the Broncos as media darlings because they were getting ripped all during the offseason and preseason and while they are now being recognized, they have not reached media darling status yet.

.. and as for "worrying" about the future, it's already been said: I am a fan, not a player. Let the coaches give the "one game at a time" speeches to the players.

Get this, the rule in my fantasy football league is-- whoever has the worst
team has to wear a dress after the season (which ends week 13 of the NFL season.) to our get-together. Guess who is in DEAD LAST in my league?

Looks like I might wear 2 dresses this year. You know once is a lost bet.

Bobby Hebert has the same deal. I would never be the same if the Saints won the Superbowl. And there are only two moments of it I would regret.

1. Seeing Bobby in a dress.
2. Waiting forever for a pick on draft day.

The problem with predicting who to play in this SB is that I am focused on next weeks Miami game. I'm afraid to look that far in advance because I've been let down so many times by my team when they started strong. I know this is the year in my heart, but my head remembers some of life's hard lessons with this team from past experience. If I could remember being around a strong winner for some time it would be different. Maybe next year. :cool:

Pandemonium across the entire Gulf South for quite a while would result. I like the first scenario but I almost think this post is out of place. Way too far out with not having a division win yet and Atlanta breathing down our neck. I am optimistic that we have the tools to beat Atlanta but we need to see what happens. I just remember how quickly we have fell in the past and I am not ready for this SB talk yet.

Atlanta doesn't have the talent on defense to shut down the Saints and their offense isn't designed for a shoot out so I say BRING IT ON

Just want to see the SB Trophy in the SAINTS PLAYERS hands...

The Saints play Miami this week and that is who the team should focused on...we still have 6 divisional games left.

The fans can plan out the entire season, but it comes down to one game at a time...

Well story goes that when my dad lived in Metairie, the Taylor family lived on the same block so he got to play with his kids and hang out with him ever once in a while. My late grandmother was a huge Saints fan and thought I'd tribute it a little bit since with out her I have no idea what team I'd be a fan of now.

In light of recent avatar debate, I've just gone off on my own dill, mostly to mess with FF, who told me not to live in the past. Monday was Stabler. Yesterday is Todd. I'm about to change it to Dave Wilson. I'm going either Weurffel or one of the Billy Joes tomorrow. Are you seeing the theme?

I very briefly met R. Todd in '84. He was really nice, down to earth.
