On a Mission!!!
I began to get this feeling a couple weeks ago and now I'm really seeing it. Our guys (the Saints) have this fire in their eyes, this will or drive to bring that championship to New Orleans. Brees is just ate up with it. His passion and desire to win it all is coming thru loud and clear. The rest of the team is infected with it too. This is without a doubt the best Saints team to ever grace the gridiron. Whether or not we will actually go all the way remains to be seen, but the Saints are special this year. Sean has finally come into his own as a HC and is doing a masterful job. Everyone has stepped up their game, especially the back ups. Special teams needs to play better though.
On another note, I saw an interesting stat on one of the dolphin's boards where since '99 every team that went 5-0 and won all 5 games by 2 TD's or more, went on to win the 6th game and the SB. You can take that for what its worth, but it did make me go hmmmmmm. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!! |

Re: On a Mission!!!
I think this could be the best Saints team in history. The remaining schedule seems to favor us. Let's pray for healthy players on the way.
But the key to our overall success thus far has to be Gregg Williams. And it's his defense that's made our offensive a better overall unit - especially the O line. The Giants dropped a few key passes and Eli overthew a wide open TD. Pressure was great, but it's nice to have the ball bounce your way for once. |

The thing I like most about this team is we CLOSE THE FRIDGE. Some games it has been done quicker than others, but it gets done and we put it away. Nothing made me happier than to see a healthy and well-performing Drew Brees leave the field and give way to Mark Brunell.

To be fair Eli also left the field and gave way to Carr.
