We did beat the Giants outright. Yes, Eli and his receivers made critical errors. Most was caused by our pressure and some were unforced...but that's what football is about. The ball just seemed to bounce our way more often than not. BUT as we've always said of past Saints' teams; Good teams find a way to win and this team finds a way to beat teams.
Skip neglected to mention how utterly frustrated the Giants defense was all day long. I was at the game. DE's were yelling at DT's, LB's were pointing at DE's and CB's and Safeties were yelling and pointing at each other and then yelling back at the LB's and everyone was shouting and just SO DAMNED CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED... Yep, that was a beat-down. |

Re: Giants just that bad....yeah right..
Now wait a minute... the Giants were that bad. Let it sink in for a moment. The reason they were bad was that they were outmatched on both offense and defense. Plain and simple. Only one team showed up to play last week, and man oh man they played well. Williams defense Made Eli look like a school boy, and the offense had the defense utterly confused. This is what happens when our team is prepared. I believe that Payton will have this team prepared to play week in and week out.

Re: Giants just that bad....yeah right..
Its the question, that bothers me the most. " Did the Saints win the game, or did the Giants just lose it?" i have heard this question alot, when two good teams play each other, and honestly, to me, it makes NO sense whatsoever. If the saints won, then obviously, the giants lost. the giants knew how big this game was, and they came to play. i dont see coughlin as the kind of coach, that would let them forget it. I wonder if the score had been 20 to 17, if they would be asking this question.
Take it from me mass media, THE SAINTS ARE JUST GOOD! Nuff said. |
