Re: Schlereth and Bruski picked saints
Maybe its just the many years of dissappointment for me, that WON'T allow me to think this way. I agree this team is the best saints team I have ever seen, but I feel really uncomfortable talking about superbowls. Steve young said we might run the table! With that idea, I remember the 07 pats. Won the season, the playoffs, lost the superbowl. I just can't see thinking about these things right now. I will end up in therapy.

Re: Schlereth and Bruski picked saints
HA HA HA ... I think we ALL feel this way. I've been a fan since I was 4 years old ... That's 28 years now ... I have ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS felt that my infatuation with this team would drive me to get therapy. Like most of you, I can hardly think about what the future holds because what I know about our past ... Even after we rolled the Giants I was making excuses on why we "got lucky" or how our special teams really sucked and that their performance somehow lessened our victory ... I think we're all pretty psycho about this team, but we deserve to be after what we've seen over the years!
In the end ... we all just want them to win it all so that we can finally have football peace (then we'll make excuses in the offseason about how it would be impossible to do again) ![]() |
