We have plays designed for all combinations of the running backs and Payton obviously likes having a blocker for his backs to get behind. Our Backs follow the blocks better now and it is an integral part of the game. Who needs a fullback? Payton does. ![]()

In a pinch, either Streif, Shockey, or Bell could play the part of the blocking fullback. |

Don't we still have Obelananialian Somemboleyoleian (SP?) to play FB?
It's not great losing Evans for some time, but the net positive/negative effect of one fullback over another is probably less than any other spot in the offense. Still Evans has been making some big plays. I bet he rehabs in time for that NE game... |
