Who needs a fullback? The ball carrier. Payton brought Evans in after releasing a quality fullback so that he could expand his game. Sarcasm alert! Thought the mad scientist part would give it away. Yes I know we need a lead blocker but I can see Payton using the 3 backs all at once. I see a TE (Thomas)or possible Strief being used as a FB.

Evans wasn't brought in just to block. He was brought in because he can run routes and he can catch. If it was just blocking, Karney would still be here.

In a pinch, either Streif, Shockey, or Bell could play the part of the blocking fullback.
