The Saints' D opposing QBs have an average rating of 54.6, best in the league, even though they give up 11th best in yardage allowed. 5 tds allowed (4th), 13 INT's (T1), and 14 sacks (T16) and 52.4% completion rate (1st). With average pressure, our defensive secondary has effectively taken the passing game out of our opponents' control. This is a remarkable turnaround from the last 10 seasons, where the only corner we could find in NO is Bourbon and Canal. Barring additional injuries, this could wind up being the best D this team has ever had (changes in the passing D rules makes comparing the Dome Patrol irrelevant, no disrespect intended.) |
