The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
It's so great living in ATL at times like these. I was told all pre-season that the Falcons were walking away with the division this year since the Saints "had no running game from losing Deuce" and "would need a few years to build a Defense."
The radio, co-workers, friends, all were spouting that. I told a few friends in pre-season two things; (1.)Watch out for PT and this guy Bell and (2.) Our secondary may wind up being our strength. They literally laughed. Now? The City is silent. I'm dead serious. No chatter on local radio about the coming game. Today at work no one had anything to say about next week and they have been talking about next week for 3 weeks previously. No texts from friends about this next game when all last week it was non stop. The Saints have quieted this City and I'm enjoying the silence. |

I'd be quiet too if my team just got beat by those elitist bastard Cowboys.

Silence is golden. :)

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
They're worried, and with good reason. If we win on Monday nite, and we should, they'll be 4-3. With plenty of competition coming down the pike, they very well may hold true to form and once again not achieve back to back winning seasons. Heres hoping thats exactly what happens.

Hear ya Ex, just got home from the gym, was wearing my Saints hat, and saw plenty of double-takes followed by a quick look away. Funny how the Falcons flags flying from back windows have vanished lately.
They know what's coming. And after the **** I had to put up with at the GA Dome last year, I'm gonna enjoy this one! |

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
You are right about the deafening silence...
I flew into Hartsfield with about 35 Saints fans, and people there were barely lifting their heads. Same thing on the flight down on saturday, where 90% of my flight was Black and Gold. Driving home I sat in traffic and listened to sports talk (680 & 790) for an hour or so: they mentioned the Saints only once, and then they asked Pat Kirwan if the Cowboys were better than we thought, or the Falcons were worse. Kirwan, like the rest of us, doesn't see too much in Falcons run D. ATL SAINT FANS- I have an extra pair of seats for Dec 13. I'm not looking to gouge anyone, and would prefer having my brethren nearby, instead of some Fal-c#nts fans. Shoot me a private email here or at sf_atl66@yahoo.com And yes, I just pulled out the See You Next Tuesday. Time to retire "Falclowns" |

Amazing. Bucs fans giving Falcons fans a ribbing because the Saints rallied to win. Have to say, props to those Buc fans for being good sports during a really really bad season. |
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
I was there on vacation during the summer and didn't hear a sound when I walking around there in Saints clothes ... god their dome looks like a tent from the outside
|
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
I think Payton is going to run up the score on them. When we face them for the second time they'll have that sick feeling what we did to them in the dome... a losing sick feeling.

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
I hope Payton does run up the score on them ... for once take a page out of the Patriots playbook
|
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
by "them" you guys mean the Falc*nts, right? Cause running the score up on the Bucs is just a bi-product of playing them.
|
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
yea i'm a big fan of embarrassing teams when you play them so they dont' wanna play you again and they remember the beating you gave them. esp the bucs/kitties/falclowns

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
Funny thread ..... quite entertaining.

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
As far as our divisional foes go, I find it hard to hate the Bucs. I don't know why really, maybe because they were so bad for so long.
Now ATL and CAR can eat poop and die... |
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
Do you know what you tell a Falcon fan who has 2 black eyes.
Nothing they have already been told twice. http://www.ratemyeverything.net//Ima...U_and_GTFO.jpg |
Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)
I was at the ATL game last year too. It was very disrespectful. I was a little aways from the big group of NOS fans in the upper decks and people yelling them to leave.
