The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)

It's so great living in ATL at times like these. I was told all pre-season that the Falcons were walking away with the division this year since the Saints "had no running game from losing Deuce" and "would need a few years to build a Defense."

The radio, co-workers, friends, all were spouting that. I told a few friends in pre-season two things; (1.)Watch out for PT and this guy Bell and (2.) Our secondary may wind up being our strength. They literally laughed.

Now? The City is silent. I'm dead serious. No chatter on local radio about the coming game. Today at work no one had anything to say about next week and they have been talking about next week for 3 weeks previously. No texts from friends about this next game when all last week it was non stop.

The Saints have quieted this City and I'm enjoying the silence.

"May God have mercy on those who doubted his Saints."

They're worried, and with good reason. If we win on Monday nite, and we should, they'll be 4-3. With plenty of competition coming down the pike, they very well may hold true to form and once again not achieve back to back winning seasons. Heres hoping thats exactly what happens.

Hear ya Ex, just got home from the gym, was wearing my Saints hat, and saw plenty of double-takes followed by a quick look away. Funny how the Falcons flags flying from back windows have vanished lately.

They know what's coming. And after the **** I had to put up with at the GA Dome last year, I'm gonna enjoy this one!

Re: The Saints have Quieted this City. (Atlanta)

You are right about the deafening silence...

I flew into Hartsfield with about 35 Saints fans, and people there were barely lifting their heads. Same thing on the flight down on saturday, where 90% of my flight was Black and Gold.

Driving home I sat in traffic and listened to sports talk (680 & 790) for an hour or so: they mentioned the Saints only once, and then they asked Pat Kirwan if the Cowboys were better than we thought, or the Falcons were worse. Kirwan, like the rest of us, doesn't see too much in Falcons run D.

ATL SAINT FANS- I have an extra pair of seats for Dec 13. I'm not looking to gouge anyone, and would prefer having my brethren nearby, instead of some Fal-c#nts fans. Shoot me a private email here or at sf_atl66@yahoo.com

And yes, I just pulled out the See You Next Tuesday. Time to retire "Falclowns"
