LOL The Falcons Board Must Be Getting Hit HARD!
 

Since I live in ATL, i sometimes lurk the Falcons board to get a chuckle out of what their fans have to say. I decided to make a login over there and make a post. My post started off with "just here to talk football, not bash..."

I went own to say Gonzalez and Snelling could have some success but in the end I don't think the falcons could match our point production. I kept the post clean a used some stats to back my point. I also gave the Falcons credit where it was due.

I got a post telling me to F'off within 1 min. and before I could respond with asking the poster, who wasn't a mod, his opinion rather than to be bashed, i was banned.

a big LOL @ them. May they rest in pieces...of feathers.

Oh and I did manage to post a reply on one thread about why the dome will be so loud. I added that on top of all the reasons given by other posters, it's All Hallow's Eve weekend and NO is a voodoo city. WHO-DAT!

Holy crap, that is the biggest bunch of whiners. Saints only good because their schedule, Saints lost on purpose last year to get an easy schedule, Saints have only played rookie QBs, Saints getting all the calls, Saints play all their hard games at home, Saints get two MNF games, Saints fans get hotter women than us (well I just made that one up but I'm sure it is true), etc.

They can't say they have the better secondary.
They can't say they have the better coach.
They can't say the Saints have had an easier schedule.

.. so the only thing left for them to say to you is "f* off" and ban your B&G arse from their site :)

One Note I liked is that someone said in order for the Falcons to win they'll have to score 50. I was thinking we should score 50 against them myself. I would be disappointed if we didn't.

Remember when the strength of schedule was against us in preseason? Luck is what you make. So far we've been lucky.

Went there and did not really have a lot of flak from them so far but will have to check back and see. Of course we do not like them but they are fans just like us. I was asked if we lost would I go back and eat crow I said I would and invited them to do the same but do not think there will be many takers from there side.

Honestly, their is the usual razzing going on, but let's face it, it's going to be an entertaining game. The falcon's game is important and you guys have talent. Tampa and Carolina are really not with us this year. Hope the game will be as competitive as it is billed to be. Welcome to our boards!

I know the Falcons will be thinking hard about being 3 games behind in the division so a good game is expected. I'm hoping to keep the wheels off of Turner but realize he is a top back. So hope is all I have. :pink:

Thanks Halo...appreciate it. Just wanted to compare what the opponents are saying compared to some of our delusional fans. I'm a realist and know that we are not quite there yet; while on the other hand the Saints have put together an impressive team in a short time. Gotta give credit where it's due. I believe in order for the Falcons to grow as a team we have to play the top teams in the league. That's why I can't wait to see how we do against your explosive offense.

I'm still waiting for Turner to get his wheels going this year. Initially I thought it was the OL until we put Snelling in against Dallas and he was able to run on them. Of course Snelling is injured now and we brought in Stecker. I've always liked him ever since his days in TB. I'm sure Smitty will have the team ready...just don't know how much with the secondary we have.

Hello Da Truth I visited your board today as B&G 101 not to antagonize but I really do not know that much about the Falcons this year. Our Divisional games came late this year and have only caught some headlines about your team. Traditionally these have been hard games for the Saints and Falcons and I really expect the same come Monday. Someone is going to have to make some plays to break the stalemate as always. I like Roddy and think this is the guy we have to shut down and the running game for you guys has been tough in the past. Actually the Saints for the most part have been tough against the run but occasionally they seem to have breakdowns and still give up the long runs. Most of us love Stecker here and I personally am not sure why he is not still here. I do believe we will see a fine game come Monday night.

We're not flying under the radar like last year and teams have been stacking the box against Turner. We seem to have better results from our other backs this year. I don't no what's going on with Turner--maybe he gets it going against the Saints. :)
Our secondary has been the weak link on our defense this year, but I like that we've gotten faster upfront and with the LBs. We're still young and have some holes to fill. The injury bug hit two of our top draft picks and recently some of our RBs. I still think it will be a good game.

Tongue in cheek slurs aside, and despite my festering hatred for all that is Falcons, I have to admit they are a solid and daunting young team who I now hate to play and likely will for many years. Matt Ryan is a blossoming QB, Turner can bring it and Roddy White and Gonzo can be a handful. I am not looking forward to Abraham either. Jason Taylor wreaked havoc on our line and I think at this stage in their careers Abraham is even better.

I am confident we are the better team right now, but any given Sunday can lead to a loss. We need to play a mistake free game and respect both sides of your team. I am pumped for this game and cannot wait for it to start.

May it be an injury free evening for both sides. I won't wish you luck in the result though ;)

If the falcons win I'll give em props. But the best team usually wins and a falcons fan with any reasoning can't tell me they're better right now. I'm not being a homer but the numbers don't lie. You're like we were last year to a certain degree: your defense has a lot of holes, and you haven't runned the ball effectively. Not saying you can't correct those areas, but November isn't an ideal time to address em.
