this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Our running game, obviously along with our defense, is what has us at 7-0. They would have had a pretty much perfect night last night were it not for the fumblerooskies. Gotta knock that crap off and we'll steamroll people....

Re: PT and Bell
I love this combination! You have the brute force of Bell, and the finesse of PT. They compliment each other extremely well.
Here is my only gripe about them. I have them both on my fantasy football team. When I start one over the other, the benched player gets the majority of the points. Had I started PT last night, I would have won in both of my leagues. lol |

Re: PT and Bell
Thomas has a gift of even when he's tackled, it's not a direct, bone crushing blow. I wish he would pass some of that ability on to Bell. Sooner or later, Bell isn't going to get up. LOL.

Re: PT and Bell
Payton is getting the most out of Bell and PT by splitting playing time and Bush is running a little aggressively himself.

I kind of like starting Pierre, and letting Bell come in mid 3rd quarter when the defense is tired. Bell has a quick lateral step that leaves tired defenders grasping air. But,,, Pierre breaks arm tackles, so he's good against a tired defense too. |

when people look at the saints team you cant honestly pick out a better running back between bell, PT, and bush there is really no right or wrong answer so the idea of a "starter" is meaningless this is the same type of thing people were saying about "every down backs"......we are changing the definition of starter just like we changed the idea of an every down back |

I got 19 from PT but only 2 from Bell. It was enough to squeak out a win though. |
