WhoDat- Like I said we have sucked in preseason in coverage, but we have the same cornerbacks. How can they be that much worse? Did hey slow down that much in 7 months? Did the loss of Sammy Knight make them that much worse? Or, could the main reason that the secondary has looked pathetic be that they have been playing a very basic defense. This makes more sense to me as to why they have looked worse. Granted, they might not be better, but I have a very hard time beleiveing they have declined that much when you consider that the secondary is the same.

LOL, Lots of what you think but nothing of what you know. I have to agree with whodat right now, and we will have to see how it all plays out next week. We are to close to finding out the truth to even argue about it anymore. what is done is done, now we have to live with it.
IMO, They can not be worse than last year but I don;t see them being any better that they will make a significant differnce from last year. |

I\'ve heard that saying before. \"Cheer up things could be worse, so I cheered up and sure enough things got worse.\" BTW, I just read in my trusty local newspaper that the Saints weren\'t the ones giving up the most points this preseason. Buffalo,Chicago and Houston gave up more. Not a lot more but more.

Billy - what complex coverage schemes do you feel are going to make the difference? Why do we want a good cover corner? B/C HE CAN COVER MAN ON MAN WITHOUT ANY HELP. That is the true judge of a corner. So, how do ours stack up so far? You think playing zone is going to help? What, bringing Bellamy up into the coverage scheme is gonna make the difference? A pass rush means that the receivers will only be five years behind our corners rather than 10 or 15... great!
