How sad is it....

When the head coach tells the starting QB, "we are going to play conservatively, and not pass the ball." Delhomme looked like he was going to cry a couple of times. How much trust does that show in your "starting QB"? I think I would rather get benched, than just stand there and hand the ball off the whole game. I mean, I'm all for doing what it takes to win, but that's gotta kill his confidence big time.

I think that other teams coming up, need to reallize, that playing conservatively, sticking to the run, and looking for stops on defense isn't going to cut it against us. If they don't believe that, they should call Mike Smith, and John Fox, and ask them what they think about it.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

I agree. I just dont think teams think we can pull it off in the end. Let them keep doubting us.

I was wondering why, with 2 minutes or whatever left in the game down by a field goal, they had to run the ball out of the end zone instead of trusting Jake to try to throw the ball. Turns out it had the same result they wanted to avoid with Jake LOL.

I said this earlier, they were playing "not to lose", not to win the game. I was looking for Jim Mora on the Panthers sidelines calling offensive plays.

I thought I saw Carl Smith over there. Ever notice that John Fox always has that 2,000 yard stare?

Re: How sad is it....

Heh heh, Carl Smith... Well, back to my point, about playing not to lose, Morten Anderson WAS there tonite. He pretty much took Mora to the playoffs many seasons, playing that kind of football. MAN! Just thinking about all of those games we lost in the play offs back then, playing "conservative" crap.... I'm sure Hebert probably has headaches too.
