Having so many power rankings listed in one single post could blow up even the most durable gay meters. Gayness of this magnitude could be terminal and genetic. I suggest total quarantine until a hasmat suit is developed

I have a hard time getting excited about power rankings. Anyone that would have the Vikings ranked 2 spots above the Steelers, who beat them soundly head-to-head, is nuts. The Broncos beat the Patriots, and the the Steelers beat the Broncos, yet CBS has Patriots > Steelers. Do these guys look at actual game results or just go off of jersey sales numbers or something.

Skip said the Saints were the 6th best team in the NFL right now
John Richie said that the Saints weren't for real because they had to rely on the defense to keep them in or win the last 3 games

I'd expect that kind of dumbness out of Bayless but Richie come on. He played in the NFL, you think he'd get it. Then again just another example in ESPN trying to talk the Saints down cause they aren't the Cowboys, Vikings or Patriots.

WTH ... I thought good teams were good teams because when one group is slacking, the rest of the team rises up to get the win or keep the team in the game.

This is what is so wrong about power rankings...

1st they mean NOTHING
2nd In professional tackle football all that matters is winning, not your power ranking.
3rd "Any given team can beat any given team on any given day", with this alone makes power ranking moot. Because you could still be undefeated and ranked 20th. Seriously. This is all crap and a waste of time to anyone and everyone who reads it. Don't you have something better to do and something to do that is more worth while like getting laid or surfing for porn.

If anyone cares about power rankings so much they should go watch college and worry about the BCS rankings at least there is a formula involved in setting that ranking. These power rankings for the NFL is just opinions and we know that story already.

I consider my actions a public service to all. Pointed out the problems and errors and whats wrong with Power Rankings. Thats different than looking at them as any for of legit standings please.
