Re: If Porter is done...
As someone else mentioned, Mike McKenzie anyone? A healthy Mike McKenzie is perfect for a GW system IMO. The healthy part is the key though.
I hope they are speaking to each other. Check it out Mickey. |

Re: If Porter is done...
The thing is, with a healthy Porter/Greer, McKenzie isn't a good fit.
You want your 3/4/5 CB's to excell at nickel, dime and special teams. None of that was McKenzie's forte. But now that we need a solid #2 CB (assuming Jenkins still needs to develop), McKenzie becomes a good fit. |

Re: If Porter is done...
Can McKenzie come in and start? If not, there's really no point in signing him. He's not a nickel/dime type guy. If they don't sign McKenzie to start, it's time to see what Jenkins has. Gay is best suited to play the nickel/dime CB role. That leaves only Torrence and maybe Young behind those guys. Throw in the possibility of the injuries to Greer and Sharper may linger and a strength just turned back into a weakness real quick. Here's to hoping McKenzie still has a half season left in him. As a complete wildcard to the mix, I actually like the way the practice squad CB Parson plays. He reminds me of Greer and Porter.

We gotta hope Porter's injury is a short heal. Randall Gay and Malcolm Jenkins will not cut it versus top WR competition.

Re: If Porter is done...
Secondary was picked apart pretty bad by a not so good Rams passing game. This doesn't look good at all for Porter, lets just hope it's not an ACL or something. I can almost guarantee McKenzie has been contacted already.
