They steam rolled in the playoffs and SB though |

Re: Was Just looking, and thought this was kinda interesting
Last week I posted on another thread how the records of winning teams are littered with close calls with perceived bad teams. And most of the time there isn't much difference between the losers and the winners.
The way it looks right now, if the Saints can eke out another win next Sunday with Sharper, Porter, Greer, and Ellis out, they'd be well positioned to win the division and make the playoffs as division winner. Don't know about HFA, but the only consolation is that, as it is right now, it looks all division winners will be dome teams. |

I hope that the gap continues to widen and hopefully the Vikings will start losing games. |

So the Cowboys lost, the Eagles lost, and the Falcons lost. This helps the Saints immensely at this point of the season.
It also looks like it will be dome teams or warm weather teams with HFA for the playoffs. |

We could not have been more fortunate in how our currently ranked playoff competition fared today.
I don't think the problem the 85 Bears faced was stopping anyone though. They struggled to score at times but their defense was always stout. |

We are getting pretty banged up on defense, hopefully Porter will be back this season. Our top tier secondary looks a little shaky right now and you can certainly see where we miss the Ellis impact on the front line. We got Fujita back this week and our other injured players should be back playing soon.

If you remember all the times when we sucked, we'd play a better team
close, and just barely lose. |

I think what's bothering everyone is back-to-back-to-back-to-back games where we've looked pretty ordinary against weak teams. Drew throwing interceptions, Colston dropping passes, giving up trip digit rushing yardages ... We seem to have lost focus.
