this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He got a interception in the endzone early on. Apart from he made some ok plays, some good plays, and a couple of bad plays. All and all not to bad for someone for his first start. Not too bad ...

Not too bad for a converted CB playing his first season at FS. |

Re: Usama Young
He played decently. He is not the sure tackler that Sharper is and his inexperience showed up a few times. I was happy with his performance though.

Re: Usama Young
He played very well and I am happy for him getting that interception. He should be good at covering since he was a CB. Not to mention he can be their last CB on the team, as well as their third safety.

Re: Usama Young
No doubt Usama has a ways to go, but considering everything that was going on, he did fairly decent. Sharper directing the secondary is going to be needed more than ever now that the CB position is extremely thin. Even with the secondary being very banged up, I was very disappointed that Bulger was able to pick them apart. No knock on Bulger, I do think he is a very good QB on a bad team, but they do not have the WR's. Very scary to think what Tom Brady and his crew could have done today... (Meant yesterday, it's already Monday morning... LOL)

Re: Usama Young
The more we play him, the more we put him in the fire, the better he's gonna
get. A young, healthy body is sure an asset right now. |
