Re: Who else is worried about our injuries?
If the Saints are smart they will put Greer on Welker ALL DAY and put Jenkins on Moss mid to short patterns and Sharper over the top. Harper can handle tight ends and backs. We should be OK if Jenkins steps up and plays like a first rounder. We drafted him in the first round for a reason. He was the number one corner prospect in the draft and now it's time for him to get off the special teams and earn his signing bonus. Gay is not a starter. I'll tell you that.

Re: Who else is worried about our injuries?
It's over halfway through the regular season and we are getting banged up, fortunately most of the injuries this year have been fairly short term and we should bring somebody back almost every week... this week it was Fuita. Last year Gay stepped up when we needed him too, he's been used to playing the nickle or dime this season. He should be fine and Jenkins ought to be able to handle the opposite corner. Leigh Torrence was a liability out there and didn't look like he got it at all. Young could also play corner if necessary. I don't think we need to bring in someone off the street just yet, unless it's MM.

Re: Who else is worried about our injuries?
I am not so worried about the New England game, I pretty much know they are going to beat up the Saints secondary. The best news of the day was hearing that Tracy Porter should be back this season. Over the course of the next three weeks, the Saints just need to win at least one. By then, a lot of these injuries should be healed for the stretch run of final month, which would put the Saints in excellent shape for home field advantage!

The back ups have to perform better. Remember the Patriots a few years ago, they had a wide receiver playing corner, I can't remember his name and they went to playoffs, maybe Super Bowl. Everybody has to suck it up. |
