Payton says Porter has a sprained MCL -Thank You Football gods
Saints head coach Sean Payton said that cornerback Tracy Porter does not have a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will not need surgery, despite some reports to the contrary.
Payton said there is no question they expect Porter back in the lineup this season, though a timetable is not set. “I feel real good for him,” said Payton. “It’s a strained MCL and there will be a time where he’ll have to rehab and recover.” Porter was injured when he was accidentally leg-whipped by Usama Young during a pass play.
