So if he's so great, why was he out there again?

Somebody straighten me out here... Why wasn't he signed? Was it purely money vs age? What's up with that?

Probably $ ...... they said he was due to make $8 million ...plus now that we're the hottest team ... he wants to be part of the fun.

Can't remember where I saw this, but it was said that he was close to signing with the Raiders earlier this season, but he didn't want to come back until he knew he was 100% recovered from knee surgery at the end of last year. Now he's ready, and apparently the Saints feel he's ready, too. I agree with SmashMouth here. He signed with not just a contender, but an undefeated team. Personally, I hope this works out. The guy was a beast of a corner before, and anywhere close to that would be an improvement over Gay, Torrence, or moving Young back to corner.
