REPORT: Sharper to Return, Greer + Ellis out for Week 11
from Roto:
Saints LCB Jabari Greer (groin) and DT Sedrick Ellis (knee) are not expected to play in Week 11, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. They should both return in Week 12. New Orleans has been getting gashed by the run since Ellis went down in Week 7. Greer, the team's No. 1 corner, will be replaced in the starting lineup again by nickel back Randall Gay. Source: NFL.com Related: Sedrick Ellis NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports that Saints FS Darren Sharper (knee) will return to the starting lineup this week. Sharper could've played in Week 10, but he and the team played it safe in a theoretically easy win against the Rams. The game didn't go so easily, but the NFC's interceptions leader is scheduled to start Sunday against Tampa Bay. LINK |

Yeah, I hope they can work McAlister in a bit. In his day the guy was a beast.

Gay will be tested. Tampa has some big bodies and talented guys at WR.

Hopefully if their Rook QB tries to test Gay too much, it will lead to a few Sharper picks. He's now in 2nd place in the NFL after being out a week. You know he wants first place back!

Agreed. I can totally see him starting against the Pats if he plays this weekend and plays well. Hopefully he picks up the system quickly and goes balls to the wall for this team. I don't expect him to be quite up to speed with the playbook this Sunday while he finds his legs again, but by the Monday night game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sticking to Moss/Welker like glue.....if he's still got it, that is.

Macalister should pick up GW's system quickly, it's pretty similar to what he was doing in Baltimore.

McAlister probably isn't the last CB we sign over the next 2 or 3 weeks. |

Re: REPORT: Sharper to Return, Greer + Ellis out for Week 11
Alright, im gonna lay it out & put it on the table 4 ya... Sharper will be back like that said & he could've played last week, but no sense in rushing things, we need him 100%. Also, Greer & Ellis will deffinitly be back for the NE game. Also theres word that Greer could even play this weekend, but just like they did with Sharper they wanna give an extra week of rest since we r only play TB, NOT 2 under estimate them though, it is a divisional foe. Now, as 4 McAlister, well i will tell u, that was a beautiful pick up, just beautiful. Yes, he's been in the league 10 yrs, but like Sharper he train's extremely hard & has had the whole season 2 get rested. He's extremely physical on the reciever's, a beast.
Anyway, he will royaye this week at CB, so he can be ready for NE... Mark my words, he will be start'n against moss. You will see, trust me, he's a SHUT DOWN corner, bottom line. Oh yea, also if ur wondering if he will pick up our scheme fast, lol, better than yall think. McAlister & GW have been envolved with many off season program's with other players & coach's over the years. They know one another very well. Just so everyone know's, he was CUT so the Raven's could free up $8 million in cap, so they could resign R. Lewis & T. Sugg's. Thats the ONLY reason why. Also the only reason he wase'nt signed in the off season by anyone, wuz becuz he was rehaging his knee after surgery, so he could'nt & would'nt sign becuz he needed medical clearence, before he could. Many team's persued him, just could'nt get him. He cleared last week & I can promise u that it did'nt take much 2 get him 2 sign with us. He know's his chances r great in NO, so it was a no brainer. Well, there ya go, thats were we r with it!!! So everyone plz calm down & not panic, we r gonna be fine... Pick ya head's up!!! GEAUX SAINT'S |
