from Roto:
Saints LCB Jabari Greer (groin) and DT Sedrick Ellis (knee) are not expected to play in Week 11, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. They should both return in Week 12. New Orleans has been getting gashed by the run since Ellis went down in Week 7. Greer, the team's No. 1 corner, will be replaced in the starting lineup again by nickel back Randall Gay. Source: NFL.com Related: Sedrick Ellis NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports that Saints FS Darren Sharper (knee) will return to the starting lineup this week. Sharper could've played in Week 10, but he and the team played it safe in a theoretically easy win against the Rams. The game didn't go so easily, but the NFC's interceptions leader is scheduled to start Sunday against Tampa Bay. LINK Last edited by Halo; 11-18-2009 at 12:47 AM.. |

So a little good news and some bad. Sharper will be back. Gay needs to step up baby.

Yeah, I hope they can work McAlister in a bit. In his day the guy was a beast.

Gay will be tested. Tampa has some big bodies and talented guys at WR.

Hopefully if their Rook QB tries to test Gay too much, it will lead to a few Sharper picks. He's now in 2nd place in the NFL after being out a week. You know he wants first place back!

Agreed. I can totally see him starting against the Pats if he plays this weekend and plays well. Hopefully he picks up the system quickly and goes balls to the wall for this team. I don't expect him to be quite up to speed with the playbook this Sunday while he finds his legs again, but by the Monday night game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sticking to Moss/Welker like glue.....if he's still got it, that is.

Macalister should pick up GW's system quickly, it's pretty similar to what he was doing in Baltimore.

Gregg will have something ready for them. Perhaps Usama plays some nickle/dime CB, along with Jenkins.
Sucks that the Rams nabbed Danny Gorrer. He looked like a good developmental CB. |

McAlister probably isn't the last CB we sign over the next 2 or 3 weeks. |
