Re: Meachem maturing into a playmaker with New Orleans
I was excited about Meachem coming out of college. But that didn't last long, his health his first season was against him and not knowing the play book killed him last year. Hendersen seems to have finally gotten it too. Next year we could have several receivers to dangle for trade bait.

Re: Meachem maturing into a playmaker with New Orleans
Meach has always had the potential and ability, all he needed was the confidence to go along with it. Looks like he found it.
oh, and Lance ain't goin' no where. The injury bug has bitten him this year, but last year he was our #1 go to receiver and played injury free, so it's not like he's fragile. Just look at this receiving corp and TE's; Colston, Devery, Meach, Lance, Shock, and big Dave. Maybe i'm biased, and maybe Brees makes them look better than they would somewhere else, but we have one hellava air assault. I think the best in the league. |

Re: Meachem maturing into a playmaker with New Orleans
I agree with this. Lance Moore gets out of his cuts better than any receiver we have and after Colston, he's a secnd security blanket out there for Brees. Meachem would be more likely to phase out a guy like Henderson who has a similar skill set (not that anyone wants to see Devery go anywhere. If anyone replaces Moore, my guess is it'll be another "slot type" which we dont seem to have right now
