Injuries to secondary are piling up.
The win was great, but the injuries to the secondary are piling up for us. Already without Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter, we suffered two more injuries in the win.
Randall Gay was taken out because of a hamstring injury and Leigh Torrence was put in. Then he was taken out for a seperated shoulder. You know Torrence isn't going to be ready for the Pats. Porter is probaby out again. In the event that Gay is out and Greer plays, that leaves us with Greer, MJ and newly aquired McAlister. Thats if Greer plays. Sharper and Harper are locks, but Usama Young is probably going to have to play nickel. We are hurting back there. Thank God they signed McAlister though. Anyone else worried for the next couple of weeks? |

Re: Injuries to secondary are piling up.
Yes indeed I am worried. The good news is these injured players should start to trickle back. McAlister needs to be brought up to speed in a big hurry for sure! It's a good thing the Saints had so much depth at the position, to me, as long as Sharper and Harper can stay on the field, the Saints should be able to get by for now.

I didn't see Gay go out, and I haven't seen any news about him being injured. Anybody care to share a link?

This should somewhat help, I am sure more will be known later in the week:

Re: Injuries to secondary are piling up.
getting pressure allows the corners to jump routes because they know the QB wont have time to throw the ball deep
in that case its best to sit on the short routes.....the curls, slants, and flats are the biggest areas we need to cover.....in those cases its more important to have solid tacklers than better coverage men we will be fine as long as we put pressure on brady.....if not, welker will tear us apart |

They might have to bring in another CB.

Nope. I am tired of wondering what could possibly, maybe, make us lose. It has not happened this year. We finally have a team that does not quit. 10-0! Wait... I am supposed to pee myself because Wes Welker is coming to town? No. I don't think I will do that. Who Dat! |
