Combine age, injury and time away from the game...these guys are definitely warming up for the playoffs. |

Well, no one can really stop Moss or Welker. All a team can hope is to somewhat slow them down. The key is to get major pressure on Brady, but if you miss on a blitz he is going to rip you apart. The entire Saints defense will have to be on their A game or it could be a very long night. Equally import is the Saints offense will need to find a way to control the clock and keep Brady and company off the field. This is truly the one game the Saints cannot afford to commit turnovers.

If we can make 3 or 4 defensive stops and not turn the ball over,
we can take this one. I have a feeling that McKenzie knows the Williams defense better than we may think. He has had nothing better to do than study film and talk to X team members. I also have a feeling that Payton told him to hang on and stay in good shape, becuse he may be getting a call. Of course he probably isn't in football shape, so he will probably not play a down this week. |

Agree with most Post's here the key will be to pressure Brady as much as possible and hold coverage just long enough to get to him. No doubt that will be their plan also. It is going to come down to who makes the most mistakes and agree we need to hold on to the ball and get some fortuitous bounces.

Re: How do you organize the secondary for the Pats.
I want to see Welker and Moss get beat up on the line and get alligator arms after getting some booming hits by the Saints secondary. Jam them at the line and throw their routes off and get, dare I say, some coverage sacks.
The Patriots run game is unremarkable and their line isn't as good as it once was. This game is all about the Saints pass defense. I think that it they will rush 4 most of the time (especially if Ellis is back) and throw in a few blitzes. However, as the Giants and Jets have shown, you beat Brady up he'll turn into a shell of himself. The front seven will be an interesting match up. |
